Day 333/365

I set up the Christmas village today with great help from M.
Thanks, M!
My village has a small farm section.
This shot is for all you farm women, but especially you, Raewyn.

Day 330/365

The meal is over.  The guests are gone.  The dishes are done.
It's time to watch some football.
Grateful for so many things.
Happy Thanksgiving.

There are some adorable holiday dishes for sale at the grocery.
But wait.  Let's take a closer look at that sign.
What?!

Day 327/365

M finished the cowl she was working on shown in progress here
and decided to make a hat to wear with it.
Looking good, M!

Day 326/365

While cleaning in the garage today
we found some of my the kids' favorite toys.
They looked a little worse for the wear,
but that's nothing a little soapy water can't take care of.
Soon the little ones will be able to enjoy the some of the same toys their parents did
at Grandma and Grandpa's house.

Day 323/365

It's been a stressful day.
Let's be honest.  It's been a stressful week.
I need some knitting therapy.

Day 322/365

It was recital day again for GB#1.
Always a good time.

Day 321/365

Little E is working on a new quilting project.
I have drafted a paper piecing pattern for the center section of her quilt.
Here it is all inked and ready for copies to be made.

Day 320/365

No light + fast-moving child = blurry, unusable photo.
Since my pictures all ended up crazy blurry,
I decided to take a quick shot of the new knitting project I started today.
Wish me luck.  It gets very big.

Day 319/365

Someone is turning three soon.
I think she needs a cape just like her cousin.

Day 318/365

This sweet guy loves taking the blocks apart as soon as I can put them together.

Day 317/365

As much as I love a full moon,
I think a tiny sliver of a moon is really my favorite.

Day 316/365

The day was spent moving furniture and hanging pictures.
The evening was spent cutting off triangles.

Day 315/365

I am gearing up for the holidays.
I know it's early but here's how it goes in our house.
If I buy a decoration during the year for a particular holiday, it goes on display,
usually on the mantel,
until that holiday arrives and then gets put away after the holiday.
Yes, I have had snowmen on display from July through January.
What can I say?  We tend to buy holiday items on vacations as mementos.
I like it that way.

Day 313/365

I am so glad that these two have arrived home safely.
More on their adventure later.

Day 310/365

M and I were back in the studio today.
We each finished cutting out our respective quilts.
We even began the sewing process.  First blocks are done.
Mine is on the left and M's is on the right.

Day 309/365

I spent the afternoon in the studio.
What could be better?
Time in the studio with M.

Day 308/365

I would prefer proper fall temperatures to the unseasonably warm ones we are having,
but I am not complaining about the beautiful sunsets.

Day 307/365

We tried another new recipe tonight
although you can't really see the new part from the picture.
The pasta is coated with an avocado sauce.  We also put our normal meatballs on top.
It was quite delicious.  Follow the link here for the recipe.
I must warn you though, be prepared for quite the garlic mouth.

Day 306/365

I was so excited today when a shipment of yarn arrived
until I realized I had not ordered what I thought I had ordered.
I have now ordered the correct yarn and will be returning this batch tomorrow.
The waiting begins again.

Day 305/365

The post office lobby is open.
This works in our favor.
We have a package to send.
